This is a beautiful pair of handpainted figurines from Ardalt Japan.
They are Lenwile china.
This pair features a boy and a girl, each with a donkey and carrying baskets of fruit.
There are real leather leads for each donkey.
These figures are highly detailed and have a very classic European look to them.
I've looked both of these figures over from top to bottom dozens of times, and I can't find any chips or repairs.
Each figure stands about 7.5" tall and the bases are 6" wide.
I took plenty of pictures of each figure, so please be sure to wait for them to load.
